Are you looking to be a part of something special this summer? Do you like being outdoors, in the heart of nature, and experiencing some world-class recreation? The Johnston Canyon Lodges and Bungalows is a seasonally operated 42 cabin boutique resort nestled in the middle of Banff National Park, where you can enjoy hiking, biking, wildlife, and rock climbing. Our season begins in early May and finishes off in Mid-October.

THIS IS A SEASONAL OPPORTUNITY, NO LMIA AVAILABLE.

We do provide staff accomodation and staff meals to those who require it, otherwise we are located about a twenty minute drive from the town of Banff.

We are seeking to hire a few line cooks for our exciting restaurant operation, The Blackswift Bistro. As a line cook, you will be able to experiment with your creative juices, and prepare flavourful dishes for our guests. Our well seasoned kitchen team like to have fun in the kitchen, while also putting out some great food and service, and we are looking to bring more excitement to the team.

The position would start May 9th and we would expect the ideal candidate to be available to work on weekends, day/night shifts, and potentially some overtime hours when the operation is really cooking up.

COOK JOB DESCRIPTION:

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Keep the cooking area clean & hygienic
