Job Description

Fairmont Banff Springs is looking for an energetic individual to assist in the delivery of our Resort Activities program through both the Youth Activities & the Outdoor Recreation Centre. Resort Activities Animators should have a wide variety of talents but above all should have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn.

Job Duties Include:

Facilitate and present small and large scale activities independently or with other Resort Activities Animators, as needed in a youth, family and /or adult environment

Assist in the set-up for all facilitated activities and execute clean-up duties upon completion of program, including cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and objects, before, during, and after the facilities open / activity ends.

Interact with and supervise all children participating in youth activities programs, ages 3-12 years, by providing a safe environment so children of all ages will enjoy themselves

Contribute new activity ideas and assist in the future development of Resort Activities, as well as other programs

Assist with the daily operation of the Resort Activities Centre which includes booking rentals and selling products and amenities.

Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Resort Activities Manager or Executive Team

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualfications:

Current Standard First Aid with CPR “C” or greater is mandatory

Minimum two years recent experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced recreational / camp environment with children / family

Positive, outgoing and professional attitude with a passion for working with children

Previous experience facilitating / hosting many types of games, crafts, activities, interactive programming, etc and commanding the attention of children

Graduate or student of an Outdoor Recreation/ Ecotourism, Tourism, Early Childhood Education or College of Piping program an asset

Must be physically fit and able to run all activities in any weather including walking, hiking, playing sports (includes water sports)

Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours a day
