Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial aspects of the Food & Beverage (F&B) Division, including managing, monitoring, and maintaining all F&B general ledger accounts.
Compile and post all F&B-related accounting journals, including all associated general ledger reconciliations.
Oversee and manage all F&B inventory and cost of goods sold, including developing and implementing the inventory control system and associated inventory requisition process to ensure the safeguarding of inventory and correct calculation of cost of goods sold.
Oversee F&B purchasing and accounts payable, including invoice reviews and approvals, with a strong emphasis on cost control.
Supervise the Food & Beverage Night Auditor.
Assist with directing and training F&B and Accounting staff.
Act as System Administrator for the F&B point of sale system (Squirrel) and all associated payment terminals, including reviewing and recommending modifications to align with system and reporting needs.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Assist with the development of F&B departmental budgets and variance analysis.
Prepare specified reporting resources as required by the executive and defined by the Business Analyst.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and income tax regulations and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Preference for CPA designation (or equivalent Accounting designation), or currently enrolled in the program (preferred but not required).
Experience in the Food & Beverage sector.
Knowledge of Food & Beverage Point of Sale Systems, such as Squirrel (preferred).
Supervisory experience.
Previous accounting work experience in a multi-departmental company/organization.
Proficient in Microsoft suite applications, including advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or other data tools.
Previous experience with accounting systems such as SAP.
