In this role you “Take Care of Banff” by ensuring the fleet operations are appropriately resourced and stocked with the supplies required to deliver reliable ROAM transit services to our residents, visitors and transit customers.

Your unique qualifications combine knowledge of the mechanics trade and transit operations with systems for research and procurement of supplies and parts for the preventative and regular repairs and maintenance. You have further blended skills in building relationships through effective interactions, an eye for detail in the research and review process of procurement and computer skills to track orders and administer purchases.

You enjoy the variety of duties that this position will require – from methodical accounting of orders, invoices and inventory to the structured administration of shipping and receiving to the hands-on job of ensure a safe, clean and organized inventory storage area. You enjoy the blend of working independently, with colleagues in the department and associated agencies and the thrill of negotiation.

You have completed post-secondary certification or a diploma program in commerce, finance or purchasing/procurement or a registered in a Journeyman program for “Parts Technician”. These qualifications can combine with work experience that included duties of sourcing catalogue items, aligning orders with deadlines for delivery and allocated expenses, managing inventory and administering purchase orders, invoices, warranties, shipping, receiving and storage orderliness.

At time of hire you can provide: a valid Alberta Class 5 license, a clear drivers abstract and criminal background check and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.

This position is based on 40 hours per week and the rate of pay is between $18.00 and $26.00 per hour and is dependent on experience and level of apprenticeship.
