Summer Specialty Camp Contracts - Multiple Roles

The Town of Banff is looking for skilled contractors to deliver specialty programs during our summer camps for children and youth in Banff between June and August 2026.

Below you will find more information about each contractor position.

Pre-Kindergarten Readiness Camp Facilitator (Contractor) - Dates Flexible

A one-week contract (potential for two) ideally in July for four-year-olds entering kindergarten. The program you plan and facilitate will build classroom-readiness, for example: packing a backpack, circle time, school transitions, independent toileting, opening lunch containers, and naming feelings. The week will blend structured activities with purposeful play and typical recess/lunch routines; families receive skills to practice afterward. Early-years experience is essential; experience with Banff Elementary/CRPS structures are an asset.

Wilderness Skills Camp Instructor (Contractor) - Dates Flexible

A Monday–Friday week in July or August delivering age-appropriate wilderness and survival skills within National Park regulations. Focus on Leave No Trace, and problem-solving—adapted to children’s stages. We are looking for a safety-minded outdoor educator with strong facilitation and a child-centred approach.

Mountain Bike Camp Instructor (Contractor) – Dates Flexible

A Monday–Friday week in July or August leading progressive, skills-based mountain bike instruction. Emphasize safety, trail etiquette, inclusive coaching, and confidence-building across abilities. Candidates must be registered mountain bike instructors and comfortable adapting drills and routes.
