Job description

Our team at Bikescape is dedicated to meeting our goals of getting MORE PEOPLE ON BIKES! Bikescape Mountain Bike Insturctor/Operations responsibilities include - riding bikes! But also....

Lead engaging and safe bike tours for high-end clientele and for kids bike camps ages 3-10.
Deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing knowledgeable commentary, personalized attention, and professional service.
Manage and maintain a fleet of ebikes, ensuring ebikes are in excellent working condition (mechanical skills an asset).
Assist guests with bike fitting, operation, and safety protocols.
Promote a culture of safety by monitoring trail conditions, weather, and guest well-being throughout tours.
Represent Bikescape with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to outstanding service.
Support additional operational needs such as equipment logistics, preparation, and post-tour clean-up.
Qualifications

Previous instructing or outdoor leadership experience (cycling, adventure tourism, or related field).
Strong customer service skills with the ability to cater to high-end clientele.
Mountain biking experience required
PMBIA or GSMBC certified (or willing to become certified prior to start date)
Bike mechanical knowledge (asset)
Current Wilderness First Aid 40hrs, minimum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physically fit and able to work in winter outdoor conditions.
Proven ability to pivot and problem-solve in response to changing conditions.

Experience:

guiding or instructing: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

40 Hour Wilderness 1st aid at minimum (preferred)
PMBIA Level 1 or GSMBC Level 1 Certification (preferred)
