Based in either our Jasper or Banff office and Reporting to the Director of Initiatives & Experience Development and working in alignment with the Senior Manager of Brand Development, this role supports the experience design and implementation of large-scale capital projects from concept through completion. The Experience Design & Implementation Specialist helps translate guest insights, brand direction, and operational needs into coordinated design solutions, ensuring approved concepts are executed accurately, efficiently, and in a way that creates engaging, functional, and memorable physical environments and experiences throughout the experience design process and through implementation.


Experience Design:


Support the design and refinement of physical guest spaces in collaboration with interior designers, construction partners, vendors, and the operations team.

Translate guest journey and operational needs into layouts, signage, environmental cues, and spatial flow.

Fluent in design language and skilled at collaborating with creative teams to bring ideas to life.

Integrate guest insights, journey-mapping outcomes, and multi-sensory design into spatial decisions that improve flow, influence behavior, and strengthen the overall experience.

Champion the guest perspective to ensure quality, cohesion, and operational practicality in all design decisions.

Project Management:


Ensure experience design concepts are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with guest and brand standards.
Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and budgets for experience-related work.
Manage vendors and fabricators to ensure quality and consistency of design elements.
Support project execution from concept to completion, balancing design vision with construction realities.
Keep projects on track through clear communication, documentation, and team coordination.
Oversee procurement schedules, installation logistics, and vendor engagement.
Facilitate reviews, presentations, and cross-functional alignment.
Provide timely on-site decisions and clarifications to keep fabrication and installation aligned with design intent and operational needs.
Work as an embedded member of the project team, representing the guest experience lens
Maintain strong follow-through and documentation to support smooth transitions into operational readiness.

Implementation:

Lead the hands-on execution of experience design elements during construction, installation, and pre-opening.
Translate approved design concepts into actionable direction for contractors, vendors, fabricators, and internal teams.
Oversee on-site implementation of signage, wayfinding, décor, guest flow elements, and multi-sensory components to ensure alignment with design intent.
Develop SOPs, checklists, and tools to support operational teams ahead of opening.
Problem-solve on site to maintain quality and guest-centered outcomes.
Support the transition from construction to operations, ensuring hospitality teams receive the tools, documentation, and clarity needed for a smooth launch.
Stay engaged through opening and ramp-up, tapering as ownership shifts to operations.
Bring strong opening energy, detail-orientation, and an operator’s mindset to ensure final execution meets guest, brand, and operational standards and functions smoothly for day-to-day operations
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Ability to balance creative intent with operational practicality, feasibility, and construction realities.
Skilled at providing clear on-site decisions, clarifications, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors.
Highly organized project manager with strong ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs, checklists, and tools that support operational readiness and smooth openings.
Comfortable working collaboratively in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting project needs.
Education or experience in design, architecture, environmental design, project management, or attractions/operations is an asset but not required.
Experience interpreting spatial or environmental design plans and translating them into actionable direction for execution
