Perform comprehensive internal and external audits across various departments, including governmental, corporate, and financial services sectors. Assess compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards). Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and internal audit procedures to identify areas for improvement. Review financial reports, statements, and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. Conduct detailed analysis of financial data using accounting software and financial analysis tools to detect discrepancies or irregularities. Prepare clear, detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations for corrective actions, and compliance status. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. Strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements and internal control frameworks such as COSO. Proficiency in financial report writing, analysis skills, and technical accounting concepts. Experience with governmental accounting standards and regulatory reporting processes. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), and risk management strategies. Familiarity with accounting software, financial software systems, and general ledger accounting tools. Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies or potential risks. Background in public accounting or internal audits within financial services or corporate environments is highly desirable. Ability to interpret complex financial concepts and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
