Staff Accommodation Custodians ensure an exceptional experience for our staff members. Their duties include cleaning and maintaining washrooms, common areas, and assisting with room preparations during staff move-ins and move-outs. Custodians may also help with general repairs and maintenance as well as snow and ice removal around the buildings. This role involves physical demands such as manual labor, lifting, and carrying.

Job Functions

Provide excellent employee and guest service.
Performs routine maintenance activities to maintain overall cleanliness of washrooms, hallways, vacant rooms, and common areas in all staff accommodation buildings.
Responsible for garbage, recycling and snow/ice removal.
Assist with managing inventory of cleaning supplies.
Notify supervisor regarding the need for repairs.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
Previous cleaning experience in a professional cleaning environment is an asset.
Previous repair/maintenance experience considered an asset.
Energetic, self-motivated and a positive attitude.
Excellent time management, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with the flexibility to shift focus based on need.
Additional Considerations

Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position requires the ability to stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time.
This role may operate hand tools.
Custodians work in a remote, alpine environment, and at times independently.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Employee Handbook, the HR Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
