Driving the business forward while overseeing a wide range of activities from day to day operations, staff training and guest engagement, the Assistant General Manager is ultimately responsible for leading the restaurant's daily success while upholding each restaurant’s brand image and values. Responsibilities of an Assistant General Manager with Banff Lodging Co.: Ensuring that the business consistently delivers high-quality food and beverage products, whilst also being responsible for labour and beverage related costs. Playing a key role in the development of our guest service programs and managing group and event reservations. Active sales role in promoting and garnering business and acts as a role model, coach, leader, and ambassador for the Banff Lodging Co. Set the exemplary standard of guest satisfaction for their staff by role modelling the expectations set for them by the brand model. Skills and experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a full-service restaurant. Minimum 2 years’ experience at the management or supervisory level. Experience in a new restaurant opening considered an asset. Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: POS, inventory software, excel and word. Food Safety, ProServe and W.H.M.I.S. Certifications. Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 30lbs, must be able to stoop and bend. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Still not convinced?
