We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef De Partie to join our team at the Relais & Châteaux Post Hotel & Spa in Lake Louise, Alberta. Chef De Partie assists in overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest culinary standards are met and contributing to the success of The Post’s culinary operations.

Position Overview:

Pastry Chef De Partie supports the Pastry Chef in creating exceptional pastries and desserts, ensuring the highest standards of taste, presentation, and creativity at The Post.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and execution of pastry and dessert recipes.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance the dessert menu.
Work closely with the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency in quality.
Execute and plate desserts according to established standards.
Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following hygiene standards.
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies.
Collaborate with the pastry team to create new and innovative dessert offerings.
Follow health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
Participate in training sessions and skill development programs.
Support the Pastry Chef in mentoring and guiding junior pastry staff.
Assist in managing kitchen equipment and ensuring its proper maintenance.
Contribute to the success of special events by creating appealing dessert displays.
Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate new techniques.
Qualifications:

Culinary degree or equivalent qualification, with a focus on pastry arts.
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
Passion for pastry and desserts, with a creative and detail-oriented approach.
Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a culinary setting.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift pastry equipment, and work in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
