Job Description

Join the Fairmont Banff Springs as a Learning & Development Coordinator, where you will play a key role in fostering employee growth and development. This dynamic position blends administrative expertise with engaging facilitation skills to create impactful training experiences. With a focus on organization, communication, and creativity, you will deliver world-class onboarding and training programs that are both fun and effective

Salary: $51,000 per year

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Coordinate and deliver engaging onboarding sessions for new colleagues and facilitate various colleague and leadership training sessions for groups ranging from 8 to 100+ participants.
Design training materials and advertisements using Canva, manage registrations on Bookeo, develop monthly training calendars, and drive attendance through social media and consistent communication with leaders.
Monitor and report on training attendance and task completion, manage the INES platform for training records and performance reviews, and oversee the Educational Assistance Program.
Certify and support departmental trainers, assist in creating training materials, audit Job Task Checklist completion, and maintain resources such as the Learning Lending Library and training room supplies.
Organize training logistics with Conference Services, coordinate with external trainers, and manage programs like the Learning & Development Book Club to enhance engagement and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in learning and development and facilitation is highly preferred
Experience in creating and implementing training materials is strongly valued
Experience in the luxury hotel or hospitality industry is an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
A background in Human Resources/Talent and Culture, and a university or college degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Human Resources, or a related field is an asset.
Proficiency with graphic design software (e.g., Canva) and familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
Strong emotional intelligence, teamwork mentality, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a results-oriented and innovative approach to challenges.
Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
