Job Description

AccorHotels is sourcing an innovative, dynamic, and accomplished Recruitment professional in the Hospitality Sector, with proven success in building talent pipeline, developing sourcing strategy, and working effectively in partnership with multiple stakeholders.

Canada’s Western Mountain Region consists of five world-class resort hotels; Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Rimrock Hotel Banff. With over 3,000 employees, staff housing, and high recruitment needs due to seasonal operations and commitment to training young hospitality professionals, our resorts are focused on Talent Acquisition excellence both in strategy and execution.

The Director, Regional Talent Acquisition, will lead AccorHotels Canada’s Western Mountain Region in Recruitment Strategy and Talent Acquisition Initiatives. With a passion to build relationships, and drive results highlighting the power of human capital, this leader will inspire, coach and support Hotel Operation and Talent Acquisition teams to efficiently and creatively identify and attract top talent throughout all stages of the recruitment life-cycle.

The ideal candidate has completed a post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources or Business, worked as a Sourcer/Recruiter for 3 to 5 years, and has strong leadership skills. This position will be working from Fairmont Banff Springs, with travel expected, and flexible work from home options will be available.

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Regional Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Create a strategic Talent Acquisition Plan for Canada’s Western Mountain Region in partnership with Hotel Executive Teams and Directors of T&C that drives strategies for creative sourcing, headhunting and selection of top talent for our properties

Analyze the effectiveness of strategies, providing regular scorecard of KPI results

Oversee the Regional Talent Acquisition team and coordinate the recruitment efforts of CWMR Talent Acquisition Hub

Improve organization attractiveness through strategic marketing planning around employment branding, digital & social media presence, and leveraging our unique selling propositions in partnership with our Regional Digital Marketing Manager and Hotel marketing teams.

Identify top talent within the local hotel industry, and deploy passive recruitment methods

Assess recruiting tools, technology and processes and continually streamline recruitment strategies and actions for increased efficiency and effectiveness with the intent to reduce the time to hire

Review and gather feedback and data to ensure regular enhancements for a seamless and world class candidate experience

Identify and create partnerships with local, hotel, trade schools and drive our Student Work Experience and Graduate hiring programs

Develop new sourcing areas domestically & internationally and develop and maintain relationships with appropriate agencies to recruit

Be at the forefront of education on immigration initiatives, work permits, refugee & new immigrant initiatives and global recruitment to guide agency and legal support as necessary

Stay current on industry news, trends and best practices as related to the Region’s talent needs

Source candidates for key department heads, executive committee level positions

Support hotels, tap in to new talent and sourcing for tough to fill positions at line, supervisory and manager level

Liaise with Hotel Teams & Directors of T&C to understand Talent Acquisition needs

Develop, guide and coach hotel Talent Acquisition Managers on new trends, to build expertise

Create and manage the Regional Talent Acquisition budget and forecast in partnership with Regional Director of T&C and property Directors of T&C

Support and drive Accor’s and Canada’s Western Mountain Regions Diversity & Inclusion commitments and goals

Follow departmental policies and procedures, including safety policies

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources, Hospitality or Business related studies

Well-rounded, experienced recruiter, minimum 3 to 5 years

Sound understanding of technical recruiting and headhunting strategies

Previous Human Resources experience and Hotel industry experience an asset

Marketing and sales technique experience an asset

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships throughout business units and levels of the organization, as well with industry partners

Proven team leader, results drive, self-motivated with a high level of energy and passion for talent management

Excellent communication skills

Experience with the use of application tracking software, social media and professional networks liked LinkedIn

Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and common sense in decision making

Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced, changing environment and handle demands simultaneously professionally

Strong organizational skills, able to maintain a complex calendar, varied workload and keep exceptional attention to detail

Possess a gracious, friendly and fun demeanor

Ability to work on location in Hotels, with work-from-home options available as business dictates. Travel as required within the region and to select hospitality schools.
