Banff Trail Riders is a leading horseback riding outfitter located in the heart of Banff National Park. We offer a diverse range of guided tours, from one-hour scenic rides to multi-day wilderness expeditions. Farrier

As a Farrier at Banff Trail Riders, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animals. This demanding role requires a dedicated individual with a passion for horses and a strong work ethic. Our herd of nearly 300 horses and mules requires a committed team of farriers to maintain their condition and welfare throughout our busy Summer and Winter months operating trail rides in Banff National Park.

This position will require you to:

Oversee our herd of nearly 300 horses and mules.
Ensure all animals are shod to a high standard. This may include corrective work, use of ropes, a stock, and hot shoeing.
Ensure a steady and continues upkeep for our operations.
Assist with herd health and safety.
Our Farrier department works closely with other heads of department to ensure we keep up with the demand of our business.
Qualifications:

Farriers are required to have graduated from an accredited farrier school/college (or have equivalent experience in the field).
Valid First-Aid certificate.
Staff accommodation may be available upon request.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal & Permanent available

Salary: Rates will vary based on experience of the applicant and discussed during the interview process.
