We’re Hiring: General Manager

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead the team at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Banff.
As General Manager, you’ll oversee all food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, lounge, room service, and banquet room. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional guest experiences, achieving sales targets, and managing costs effectively. What You’ll Bring:
Competencies:
Leadership: Mentor, train, and coach a large team, focusing on retention, development, and internal promotion.
Proactive Planning: Manage inventory levels for beverages and operational supplies. Create and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS).
Guest Experience: Deliver outstanding service and build strong guest relationships, setting the standard for your team.
Genuine Passion: Cultivate a love for hospitality and inspire your team to create memorable dining experiences.
Time Management: Balance business goals with guest service needs efficiently.
Communication: Foster clear, open, and consistent communication with staff and management. Actively listen and provide feedback.
Problem Solving: Stay calm, creative, and flexible to ensure smooth operations during unexpected challenges.
Consistency: Be approachable and dependable, creating a safe and supportive environment for employees and guests.
Business Awareness: Analyze profit-and-loss statements and manage expenses effectively to achieve financial goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of Food and Beverage experience.
Minimum of 2 years as a Manager in a full-service dining establishment.
Keg or similar brand experience is a strong asset.
Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
