It's the perfect work/life combination. Job Description The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure that employees provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories. They will lead, develop and coach a team of professional employees to enhance the level of service and meet standards. Food & Beverage Overview: Our mission is to make Food & Beverage the heart and soul of all of our hotels by creating a free standing food & beverage mentality in our hotels that is relevant, profitable and exciting; connecting us, our guests, and the community together. Starting at $55,000 - $57,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education Note - preference will be given to those that our available for the full season (May-October 15th) Job Duties Include: Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure standards are being maintained Be involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development Have a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events Review guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion Understand both the restaurant’s and the hotel’s financial goals to achieve superior long-term financial returns to our shareholders Ensure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Must have 2 years previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in a full service hotel or upscale restaurant Must have pro-serve certification and POS system experience Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset A passion for food & wine Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays Must be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more Additional Information Job Perks & Benefits: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $4/meal) Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health, Orthodontics, Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation for full time permanent status employees Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program – exclusive room rates for colleagues, which includes 50% off all food & beverage when staying at Fairmont Resorts in Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler Discounts while using our resort’s Food & Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, Spa and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
