Full job description
Founded in Calgary in 1978, the Alberta Boot Company has a storied history of handcrafting premium western, work boots, and everyday footwear. We continue to handcraft each pair of Alberta Boots in our own Canadian workshop. These iconic boots are inspired by our Canadian prairie roots but evolve to suit the modern cowboy and cowgirl. From the city to the ranch, we express our western spirit by proudly handcrafting truly authentic boots. Each pair pays homage to our past while adding contemporary elements, functionality, and comfort.

At our company, we are driven by a singular purpose: to create superior products that honour tradition, foster innovation, and embody the spirit of progress. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping and delivering products that resonate deeply with our customers, celebrating what the Western spirit means to them.

We take pride in crafting products that pay homage to the trailblazers who have forged the path before us, while also inspiring and equipping the next generation to chart new frontiers. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to blend respect for time-honoured traditions with a forward-thinking mindset, ensuring our offerings remain authentic and innovative.

If you’re passionate about creating products that ignite enthusiasm, celebrate heritage, and inspire progress, we invite you to join us in bringing the Western spirit to life for our customers.

The Position:

As the Retail Store Manager, you will lead a dynamic team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales, and champion our brand’s heritage and values. You’ll oversee daily operations, coach your team, and implement strategies to achieve business goals while maintaining a welcoming, high-performing retail environment.

Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding in-person, showcasing products and building brand advocates.

Merchandising: Create engaging store environments with compelling displays and ensure alignment with brand directives.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and coach your team, fostering growth and success.
Flexibility: Support events, adapt to a fast-paced retail landscape and provide coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience (luxury or footwear preferred).
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver exceptional customer service in a high-end retail setting.
