F&B Auditor/ Bookkeeping Assistant

We are looking for someone to do a combination of audit shifts for the relief days of our full-time auditor and day shifts assisting with bookkeeping tasks. 32-40hrs / week.

$1.00 retention bonus for every hour worked till the end of contract.

Requirements:
•
Ability to work with computers and Excel with high accuracy and attention to detail
Accountability for working with sensitive information and handling high volumes of cash
Capable of working flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
Ability to work alone and at night without supervision
Previous experience with auditing/bookkeeping in food and beverage or hospitality industry considered a great asset
Previous experience with Squirrel POS system desired but not required
Job Responsibilities
•
Daily count and record of cash in safe
Identify and resolve discrepancies in cash out variances
Ensure receipt of cash outs including cash, floats, vouchers, etc.
Audit and document cashier/server postings on POS system (Squirrel)
Reconcile posting and payment variances recording any overages/shortages
Communicate discrepancies to manager and appropriate departments
Prepare due back tips to servers and cashiers
Prepare multi-unit cash deposits
Generate daily/weekly/period end reports, and transfer information to spreadsheets
Assist with recording warehouse transfer requisitions
Perform other duties as assigned.
