What will you do in this job?:
Support the Store Manager/DOR in providing ongoing retail, product and customer service training to new and existing staff
Assist with seasonal employee on-boarding, hiring, orientation and training
Assist in planning, organizing and conducting merchandise changeovers or product movement following pursuits operating plans
Strong focus on store operations, focusing on team member and customer engagement
Leading by example and upholding Pursuit’s 4 Core Values
Assist in managing monthly budgets and forecasts by managing weekly schedules, weekly sales targets and adjusting as needed based on business levels and demands
Directly supervise Retail Associates and Team Leads,
Perform coaching and performance reviews when necessary, communicating action plans and performance results with Store Manager
Spend a maximum of 25% of their work week performing office tasks, assisting Store Manager as needed
Ensure floor is fully stocked with product
Communicate directly with Retail Inventory Team and Store Manager on floor and on hand inventory and order suggestions
Train and manage employees on all POS systems and operational tasks
Manage store inventory, communicate any expired and/or damaged products to Retail Inventory plan as per Pursuit’s operating plans
Assist with all stages of ordering, receiving and organizing product as needed
Professionally and effectively handle any customer issues or concerns, train Team Leads on refunds/exchanges and common customer issues
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Supervisory / leadership experience
Customer service and cash handling experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Able to communicate fluently in English, secondary language skills are an asset
Mature and able to excel in fast paced team environment
