Job Description

This role is about precision, trust, and calm stewardship of the hotel overnight. As a Overnight Front Desk Agent, you are the steady presence who ensures the accuracy of our financial records, the safety of our guests, and the seamless transition from one business day to the next—while also delivering warm, intuitive guest service when it matters most. While the hotel sleeps, you bring clarity, accountability, and quiet confidence, balancing financial integrity with a composed front-desk presence and thoughtful guest care.

Key Responsibilities

Overnight Guest Service & Presence

Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, providing calm, professional service.
Manage late-night check-ins and early departures with efficiency and care.
Respond to guest inquiries, requests, or concerns with empathy and sound judgment.
Handle phone calls, messages, and wake-up calls accurately and on time.
Provide essential information or assistance while maintaining a quiet, respectful overnight atmosphere.
Financial Accuracy & Audit Excellence

Complete the end-of-day audit process, ensuring all transactions are balanced, posted, and reconciled accurately.
Verify and reconcile revenue from all departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other outlets.
Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports in accordance with established standards.
Process credit card transactions, direct bill accounts, and ensure proper documentation for deposits.
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies with diligence and integrity.
Maintain accurate audit logs and financial records at all times.
Safety, Security & Stewardship

Work closely with overnight security team to ensure all public areas, entrances, and access points are secure.
Monitor security systems and report any irregularities or concerns promptly.
Respond to emergencies calmly and according to established hotel procedures.
Maintain a safe, quiet, and secure environment for guests and colleagues overnight.
Operational Readiness & Communication

Prepare the hotel for the next business day, including reports, registration materials, and room readiness support.
Communicate clearly with Front Office leadership and relevant departments regarding overnight activity or issues.
Follow all Rimrock service standards, privacy policies, and operational procedures meticulously.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data at all times.

Qualifications

What You Bring

Previous experience in night audit, front desk, accounting, or hotel operations (luxury hospitality preferred).
A calm, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to work.
Strong numerical accuracy and comfort working with financial data and reports.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.
Proficiency with hotel systems (OPERA or similar PMS) and basic office software.

Knowledge of Banff National Park and surrounding attractions.
