We are looking for passionate, full-time guides for the coming summer season for daily hiking, multi-day and sightseeing tours Hiking and Interpretive Nature Guides What we offer: · Pay range from $25-$27 (depending on qualifications) · Partial repayment of expenses related to licensing and certifications after completing one full season of work · Seasonal Bonus after completing one full season of work · Gratuities · Paid training · Fun team with a wealth of knowledge · Staff events to connect with your coworkers · Guiding career, not just a summer job (if that is what you are looking for) · Independence · Flexible work schedule · Opportunities for growth · Being part of one of the original and still growing adventure companies in Banff This is the right job for you if: · You enjoy showing visitors around Banff and the Canadian Rockies · You love hiking and driving a 14-person passenger van · You are personable, easy to talk to and love working with people · You enjoy making a difference in someone's vacation · You have great customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills · You enjoy sharing local stories and educating guests about their surroundings · You enjoy working independently as well as part of a team Description: Guides will: · Provide natural interpretation (teaching guests about their surroundings on the tour) · Lead informative, safe and fun day hikes, private hikes, multi-day and sightseeing tours in winter and summer conditions · Prepare, inspect, and clean vehicles daily before and after tour · Participate in the facilitation or execution of corporate and group tours as well as team-building programs · Assist in general company duties, such as facility or equipment upkeep, as required Minimum Requirements: (Qualifications can be obtained after getting hired) · Interpretive Guide Association's Apprentice Guide or ACMG hiking certification · Minimum valid 40-hour Wilderness First Aid · Class 4 Driver's license · Clean Driver's abstract · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Thorough knowledge of the area's natural history and culture · Extensive hiking and vehicle-based tour-leading experience · Valid Canadian Work Permit Preferred Requirements: · Preference for Professional Interpreter or ACMG Hiking Guide certifications · Spanish and German Language proficiency preferred · Significant work experience in customer service · Resides in the Bow Valley Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour Additional pay: Bonus pay Tips Benefits: Flexible schedule Tuition reimbursement Wellness program Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Work Location: Hybrid remote in BANFF, AB
