It's the perfect work/life combination. Job Description Fairmont Banff Springs is looking for an energetic individual to assist in the delivery of our Resort Activities Guiding program. Resort Activities Guides should have a wide variety of talents but above all should have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn. Starting Rate: $24.03 We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.67 Job Duties Include: Lead / Guide experiences not limited to guided wilderness, vehicle and bike tours, as well as walks and hikes. Share the history and culture of Canadian Rockies enthusiastically Assist in contacting guests before their hotel arrival to ensure smooth delivery of guided experiences Selling, booking and updating guided experiences Maintain positive working relationships with Parks Canada and adhere to all Parks regulations Assist in the set-up for all facilitated activities and execute clean-up duties upon completion of program, including cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and objects, before, during, and after the facilities open / activity ends Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: 16 hour Standard First Aid & CPR C level or greater is mandatory Apprentice Interpretive Guide Certification from IGA or equivalent required Four Season Group Management Certification from IGA as an asset Class 4 Drivers License and clean driving history Minimum one years recent experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced recreational / guiding environment Graduate or student of an Outdoor Recreation/ Ecotourism or Tourism program an asset Must be physically fit and able to run all activities in any weather including walking, hiking, biking.
