What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Hospitality Training Specialist plays an essential role in shaping unforgettable guest experiences by designing, delivering, and continuously enhancing training programs across Pursuit’s iconic hospitality operations. This role is dedicated to elevating service standards, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of exceptional hospitality across Pursuit properties.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-driven professional with a passion for training and hospitality. Thriving in a dynamic, multi-unit environment, this position reports to the Vice President, Hospitality Excellence.

What will you do in this job?:
Design, develop, and implement engaging training programs focused on hospitality, service excellence, and operational standards.
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, including workshops and ongoing learning programs for new and existing team members.
Establish, refine, and implement hospitality service standards across Pursuit locations, ensuring best-in-class guest experiences and operational consistency.
Collaborate with department leaders to assess training needs and develop customized learning solutions.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to maintain service excellence across all business units.
Conduct quality audits and analyze guest feedback to measure training effectiveness, drive service consistency, and support continuous improvement.
Evaluate the impact of training programs using feedback, assessments, and key performance metrics.
Mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and shared accountability.
Create training materials, visual aids, and resources to enhance learning effectiveness and support employee development.
Facilitate collaboration across departments to promote hospitality excellence and operational alignment.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in hospitality training and guest experience.
Develop and support recognition programs to celebrate service excellence and enhance employee engagement.
Provide inclusive training for diverse teams to drive engagement.
Conduct site visits and operational reviews to assess service delivery, provide feedback, and share best practices.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in hospitality training, learning & development, or operations.
Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
Experience in designing training programs and instructional materials.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
Ability to travel to Pursuit locations as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of seasonal business operations and ramp-up strategies.
Experience in coaching and performance improvement in hospitality.
Background in training delivery and SOP development.
Multilingual skills are an asset for training diverse teams.
