Job Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and guiding the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure that all areas of the facility meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. The position involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting work quality, and assisting in the efficient operation of the department under the Housekeeping Manager, all while ensuring excellent guest and staff satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision & Support:

Supervise and manage a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public areas attendants, laundry attendants and other cleaning staff.
Assign daily tasks to housekeeping personnel based on priorities and occupancy levels.
Provide guidance and assistance to staff members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
Monitor staff attendance and performance, addressing any issues and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
Quality Control & Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, pool areas, parking garages, and back-of-house spaces to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained.
Review guest feedback and address and prevent any concerns related to cleanliness or housekeeping services.
Ensure that all rooms and areas are properly stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., towels, toiletries) and that cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Training & Development:

Train and mentor new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and efficient use of cleaning equipment.
Provide ongoing training for existing staff to improve their skills and maintain high-quality performance.
Promote teamwork, encourage positive attitudes, and foster a culture of professionalism and customer service.
Inventory & Supply Management:

Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and other necessary materials, ensuring stock is always available.
Report any shortages or supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager and coordinate reordering of supplies.
Ensure proper use of cleaning products to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
Guest Service & Communication:

Handle guest requests related to housekeeping, ensuring that they are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate with the front desk and other departments to coordinate room turnovers, special requests, and other guest needs.
Resolve guest complaints and issues related to housekeeping, aiming to exceed guest expectations.
Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all housekeeping staff follows proper cleaning procedures and adheres to safety and sanitation regulations.
Monitor staff use of cleaning chemicals and ensure the correct handling and storage of materials to prevent accidents.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and help maintain a safe working environment.
Team Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and other supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient department operations.
Assist in managing the department during peak times or in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
Contribute to team morale by fostering a positive work environment and encouraging good communication.
Shift Management & Scheduling:

Organize daily housekeeping schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all areas.
Adjust schedules to accommodate peak periods, special events, or guest requests.
Ensure that housekeeping staff is punctual and ready to begin their shifts on time.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in hospitality or cleaning is a plus.
Previous experience in housekeeping, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring that the housekeeping team delivers high-quality service, maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the facility. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a focus on guest satisfaction and team success.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
