Job Description

The Golf Retail Supervisor will be responsible for working closely with the Golf Retail Manager to ensure the day to day successful operation of the golf retail department of the golf division. The Golf Retail Supervisor will be responsible for leading the day to day functioning while working in the retail golf operation to ensure the successful operation of the golf retail department. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and is comfortable making quick and creative decisions, and exceeding guest expectations while demonstrating a high level of responsibility for their own actions.

Starting Rate: $22.40 per hour.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager and Golf Assistant Operations Managers - Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Oversee the daily setup, opening, and closing of the golf retail department, ensuring a seamless guest experience and efficient sales processes.
Train, guide, and supervise retail associates, ensuring performance expectations, grooming standards, and sales techniques are met.
Assist with product merchandising, restocking, and maintaining retail standards to optimize sales and guest satisfaction.
Manage rental fleets, ensure golf carts and club sets are in proper working order, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail space.
Maintain clear communication with management regarding guest feedback, staff performance, operational needs, and daily reporting on issues and opportunities.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role in the golf business.
Prior supervisory experience an asset.
Valid Driver’s Licenses and updated drivers abstract
Able to work flexible hours (early morning, evening and occasional split shifts)
Proficient in computer Programs (Microsoft Word and Excel, Reservation and POS systems). Experience using Golf Concept software is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required
Ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
Solutions-orientated, strong interpersonal skills and problem solving techniques
Highly motivated, career-minded team player who is guest driven with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate needs
Business Degree or Diploma in a recognized Professional Golf Management is an asset
