The primary focus of the Early Years Support Worker (Casual) is to deliver the Family Connections drop-in program, with a focus on building community connections of families with children in the early years (0-6). You will ensure the Family Connections drop-in program is a welcoming, safe environment for families to connect. You will work closely with the Family Connections Specialist in the Banff office of the Bow Valley Family Resource Network (FRN).

Your cover letter and resume should include why you are a fit for this position, in addition to confirming; completed post-secondary education in human services (or an appropriate, related program), one years’ work experience in a helping profession, preferably in a school or municipal capacity. Assets include; certification in suicide risk management, first aid certification, membership in an accredited and related professional association. You are competent in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and have knowledge of FOIP legislation.

Pre-hire requirements: A clear RCMP criminal background check with vulnerable sector.

This position is for Saturday mornings, with potential for more hours as required and will be contracted until December 31st, 2025. This program does not run during July and August and no hours will be scheduled during the Canadian Rockies Public Schools summer school break. The wage is $25.00 per hour.
