Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our clients and requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. There will also be an opportunity to learn the basics of tax preparation for individuals.

Duties

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial records.
Assist in budgeting processes by tracking expenses and providing reports on budget variances.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage for data entry and financial reporting.
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for auditing purposes.
Skills

Proficient in accounts payable, account reconciliation, and budgeting practices.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Knowledge of general bookkeeping principles and practices is essential.
Previous experience as a bookkeeping clerk or in a similar role is an advantage.
