Position Overview We require a full-time Housekeeper/Guest Service Supervisor that will make sure all rooms are guest ready. There will be some duties that are required to be done daily and others that only are needed on a case-by-case situation. A strong, motivated team is already in place, and we are looking for the same drive and commitment. Salary: $20 per hour Shifts: 8-hour shifts Staff Accommodation: Available Key Responsibilities Lead a team of housekeepers and guest service agents. Be the point of contact for your team. Assist the General Manager with inventory and cleaning supply purchases. Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience. Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate. Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards. Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies. Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices. Greet customers, listen, and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attraction. Complete the registration, check-in, and check-out procedures. Assist guests with payment transactions and ensure proper methods of payment are taken and processed accurately. Promptly answer the telephone-using positive, professional fluently in English. Utilize the company computers and reservation software to input and receive information. Remain calm and alert, especially during an emergency and/or heavy hotel activity and resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues. File guest complaints and inquiries; conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results. Assist our housekeeping team, fulfilling guest requests when required. Maintain a clean “guest ready” working environment. Skills and Experience Previous experience in a supervisory role. Demonstrate organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to lead a team and hold strict confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Take initiative in solving problems. Excellent guest services skills. Promote positive relationships in communication and cooperation with all co workers and guests. Physical endurance; able to push, pull and lift up to 40+ lbs. Able to perform repetitive physically demanding tasks; standing for long periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching. Basecamp Resorts is an equal opportunity employer.
