Are you a skilled angler with a passion for nature and a knack for guiding others? We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fishing Guide to join our team and help create unforgettable fishing adventures for our clients in the stunning Banff National Park. As a Fishing Guide, you'll have the opportunity to share your expertise, lead guided trips, and provide an exceptional experience on the waters. Your knowledge of local lakes, fishing techniques, and commitment to client satisfaction will ensure that every trip is not only successful but also memorable. Key Responsibilities: Lead guided fishing trips, offering expert advice on fishing techniques, safety, and equipment use. Operate and navigate fishing boats in a safe and efficient manner. Assist clients with casting, hooking, and reeling in fish, ensuring a fun and educational experience. Share your expertise by identifying local fish species and explaining their habits, habitats, and ecological importance. Ensure full compliance with fishing regulations, promoting sustainable practices like catch-and-release. Maintain, clean, and organize fishing gear, boats, and equipment. Provide top-tier customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring their comfort and enjoyment throughout the trip. Required Qualifications: Valid boat license (specific to Alberta) Current First Aid & CPR Certification IGA Basic Certification (or equivalent) Prior experience as a fishing guide is preferred, but not required Essential Skills: Exceptional communication skills to clearly instruct and connect with clients. Strong time management skills to ensure smooth and timely operations. Excellent customer service abilities to ensure a top-notch experience for each client. Leadership and instruction skills to guide and teach anglers of all levels. Knowledge of conservation practices and a passion for educating clients on sustainable fishing methods. A deep love for Banff National Park and the natural beauty it offers. Must be a resident of the Bow Valley or willing to relocate. Why Join Us?
