What will be your daily pursuit?:
This position requires relocation to Banff, Alberta.

What will you do in this job?:
Working as a team with the Driver, the Host Guide coordinates refreshments, guest safety and provides commentary
Escorting and providing limited commentary to the guests when leaving the bus
Meet and greet guests at place of tour origin
Assist driver with luggage storage and handling
Responsible for on-board refreshments stock control; garbage and recycling disposal
Provide informative answers about Pursuit and its attractions
Provide on-board refreshments to all guests; regularly check on guests throughout the tour to meet their needs
Communicate via phone or radio to attractions, places of interest to inform them on estimated time of arrival
Coordinate with the Bus Director on passenger manifests, missed shows, bus breakdowns, etc
Ensure that each customer interaction is friendly, courteous, and professional
Represent Pursuit professionally in all communications relating to clients/guests, suppliers, products and co-workers
Direct all clients and guests to the appropriate locations
Resolve customer service problems by tracing source, then finding and recommending alternatives
Follow up all problems with the goal of preventing a recurrence
Relay appropriate problems to supervisor with potential solutions
Maintain current and accurate knowledge of all of Explore Rockies products and website
Keep up to date with changes to computer systems or any communication systems
Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times
Foster a friendly environment and keep the Activity Centre and other Brewster property clean and organized
Uphold the “Always Honest” values
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
An active interest in the Canadian Rockies
Possesses organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Secondary language skills are an asset
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Basic mathematical and literacy skills
Time management and ability to multi-task
Mature and possess a proven ability or desire to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Able to work independently, be self-motivated and self-regulated
Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
Ability to effectively problem solve in a timely manne
Cash handling experience
Public speaking experience an asset
First Aid qualification an asset
Physical demands including constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

This fun, summer job is based out of Banff with start dates in April until October.
