About The Role

YWCA Banff is seeking a creative and results-driven Marketing & Events Coordinator to to grow the presence of YWCA Banff. You will play a key role in supporting the organization's visibility, community and donor engagement. This role reports directly to the Manager of Marketing and Communications and offers the opportunity to spread awareness around gender-based violence and housing insecurity in the Bow Valley.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing creativity with organization, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is motivated by purpose-driven work that raises awareness of gender-based violence and housing insecurity in the Bow Valley

What You’ll Do

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Events

Plan and execute YWCA Banff signature and engagement events
Coordinate logistics such as vendors, speakers, volunteers, decor, signage, catering
Manage guest lists and event registration
Collaborate with event committees and partners to deliver events and auctions
Coordinate and monitor fundraiser and event sponsor recognition
Track event budgets, provide post-event analysis including metrics, audience insights and goal alignment
Marketing

Create marketing materials such as posters, brochures, reports, signage, and promotional materials
Coordinate and manage production and distribution of print materials as needed
Maintain brand standards and visual identity across the organization
Create and manage content across digital platforms including social media, email newsletters and website
Track performance metrics and contribute ideas for strategy improvement
Support internal and external communications
Qualifications & Experience

Specific skills and knowledge qualifications include:

2-4 year’s experience in a similar role focused on content creation, storytelling, and marketing design.
Degree or diploma in Communications, Event Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Intermediate graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with video production and editing for social media
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Experience with website platforms and CMS platforms an advantage
Confident representing the organization in community-facing roles
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as related to events
A passion for YWCA Banff’s mission and a collaborative, team-focused mindset

Position Details

The Marketing & Events Coordinator is a full-time, year-round position working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000. This role follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office and work-from-home arrangements. The successful candidate must be located in the Bow Valley or be willing to travel to Banff regularly for event delivery, content creation, and meetings. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required for events, with advance notice provided.

Housing can be a barrier in the Bow Valley, subsidized staff accommodation is currently available for the successful candidate.
