Full job description
Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is hiring a Server who thrives in both the Bistro and the Banquets team. You switch from à la carte service to banquet operations without losing your cool. You set up fast. You serve with precision. You back up your team when the room gets busy.
You deliver a solid guest experience every shift. You welcome guests, help them find the right table, explain menu items, handle special dietary requests, and keep plates and glasses moving until the room settles.
Role duties
Set up the dining room with table settings, condiments, napkins, service plates and utensils.
Explain menu items and specials with confidence.
Serve food and beverages with efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate allergies, intolerances and substitutions to the kitchen without delay.
Process payments by cash, card or room charge.
Follow Alberta liquor laws.
Complete cleaning tasks and support the Manager on duty.
Follow health and safety procedures and report hazards immediately.
Take on extra tasks when guest needs require it.
Support the banquet team with room setup and high-volume service in a tight crew.
Required experience and skills
Prior serving experience is an asset but not mandatory.
ProServe certification.
Strong communication skills and a direct, positive approach with guests.
Proven performance in a fast paced environment.
Team mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Housing is available. Onsite, dorm style accommodation located walking distance to work and 2 km from the Banff townsite with regular shuttles into town.
