Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Payroll and Benefits Advisor to join our client's finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with Canadian payroll legislation. You should have strong expertise in Workday and a strong ability to identify process improvements.

Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, tax deductions, and benefits
Conduct a comprehensive Workday audit of current payroll practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support year-end T4 preparation, including required reconciliations and balancing.
Identify and recommend Workday payroll system improvements, collaborating with the Alterra team to address and resolve system gaps.
Audit benefits and RRSP data within Workday, ensuring accuracy and making necessary corrections.
Develop a detailed payroll manual to document end-to-end payroll processes.
Create Payroll and Benefits Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure roles and responsibilities align with Canadian Payroll Association compliance standards.
Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollments, updates, and terminations in both Sun Life and Workday.
Assist with the administration and coordination of the off-season benefits program.
Train managers and employees on timekeeping procedures and payroll-related processes.
Monitor and stay current on federal and provincial payroll legislation to maintain compliance and support internal audits.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or a related field.
7+ years of experience managing payroll and benefits administration.
5-8 years of hands-on experience with Workday, including payroll and benefits modules.
Proven experience with Workday implementations and system integrations.
Demonstrated ability to identify and close gaps within HRIS systems, with a strong focus on process improvement and compliance.
Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
