The Production Supervisor is a part time role that will support the successful operation of Nightrise, a multimedia experience at the Banff Gondola. The successful candidate will support the Manager, Nightrise and Gondola A/V Systems with the installation of the project, artistic integrity of the installation and remain focused on the maintenance of the equipment. Once installed, they will support the successful day to day operation of the experience, foresee required maintenance, foster an engaged workforce, collaborate with auxiliary teams and work together with third party teams to provide a world class experience for our guests.

On a nightly basis from November to March, Nightrise is a multimedia presentation that takes place over our entire property with lighting, audio, and video effects in our two terminals and on our boardwalk.

The Production Supervisor will also assist in weekly maintenance of Gondola equipment and assist in troubleshooting of any issues that occur.

What will you do in this job?

Under the direction of the Manager, Nightrise and Gondola A/V Systems, support with the successful installation of the Nightrise experience while working closely with third party installation teams
Support all technical aspects of the experience
Assist in the changeover from daily operation to Nightrise presentation
Ensure the artistic and technical aspects of the presentation remain consistent
Restore the building back to daytime operation at the end of the operating hours
Assist in troubleshooting of any issues that occur during the Nightrise production
Maintain excellent lines of communication with all teams, ensuring Nightrise and other programming activities are delivered seamlessly
Support in the maintenance of all equipment
Support all other Gondola audio-video requirements, as they arise
Complete daily and weekly walk-through checklists
Ensure all Pursuit Health and Safety protocols are adhered to
Comply with all Pursuit policies and procedures
What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Ability to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating instructions via written communication, telephone, or in person.
Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings.
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle competing priorities.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and familiarity briefing senior level management.
Technical requirements:

A minimum of one year experience in working with live events (theatre, concerts or corporate events)
Knowledge of audio-visual equipment including professional digital and analog audio systems, mixers, wired and wireless microphone systems, amplifiers, dynamic processors, video cameras, video and audio recorders, and video projection equipment
Knowledge of media server technology for video, audio and lighting distribution.
Good knowledge of audio-visual distribution systems such as patch bays, video matrices, audio amplifiers, midi, sound controllers, DMX etc. as well as AV network protocols such as NDI, ArtNet, Dante, AVB etc.
Knowledge of networking systems (routing, sharing, network administration, IP, DNS, VPN etc.)
Knowledge of IT systems, including operating system installation, maintenance systems, diagnostic software and hardware installation an asset.
Understanding of schematic drawings, install cabling etc.
Ability to resolve set maintenance issues
Understanding of lighting equipment.
Lighting console programming experience is an asset
Digital audio console experience is an asset
Experience in networked video an asset
