Job Description

Come and join a winning team for the 2025 Golf season. The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course has won nearly every award there is, ranging from #1 in Canada to in the Top Ten Golf Courses in the World. Working in the Turf Care department, the Irrigation Technician's high attention to detail ensures golf course maintenance is completed to exceed our golfers’ expectations. This is your opportunity to make the Canadian Rockies your “office”, working at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

Starting Rate: $21.52 per hour

Priority will be given those that are available from April-October 31st with experience.

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendents, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Complete irrigation repairs, audits and new installations.
Assist in a variety of fertility and cultural programs
Assist with various improvement projects
Labor intensive work in the form of digging, lifting, pushing, and assorted tasks
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Previous golf course experience is an asset
Class 5 Driver’s License
Updated driver’s abstract (no serious infractions in past year)
Ability to operate all mowing and cultural equipment, chainsaw, and skid steer an asset
Understanding of the rules of golf
Trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detailed oriented
Ability to multi-task
Perform tasks under minimal supervision
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule
Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work
Ability to work in a team and independently
