Full job description
PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Banquet Chef de Partie plays a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.

REPORTS TO

Head Chef
HOURS

As required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and execute banquet food preparation, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Coordinate with the Head Chef to plan and execute event menus
Manage mise en place and food preparation for multiple events, maintaining optimal timing and quality
Train and supervise kitchen staff during banquet service
Ensure proper food storage, handling, and safety standards are consistently met
Assist with inventory management and food cost control
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
Support other kitchen stations during non-banquet service periods as needed
Support menu development and seasonal updates
EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume banquet setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and current certification
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality standards during peak periods
Strong communication skills
Physical stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
