What will be your daily pursuit?:
Our Sightseeing Hosts ensure that every guest who joins us on one of our full-day tours has the best possible experience. Our driver/host teams collaborate to anticipate guests’ needs and exceed their expectations, leaving guests with wonderful stories to share back home and memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

This seasonal position is posted as part of our recruitment for spring/summer 2024.
Compensation:
The starting wage for this position is $17.00 per hour.

What will you do in this job?:
Working collaboratively with other members of our transportation team, as well as the teams at our attractions, to ensure smooth operations and uphold high standards of guest experience
Maintaining open, effective communication and positive relationships with other teams through radio, phone and online communication
Resolve guest experience issues including appropriate reporting and follow-up as required
Maintain current and accurate knowledge of Pursuit attractions, events, and local knowledge
Ensure personal safety, as well as that of our guests and team members, to the best of your ability
Assist in various transportation duties including, but not limited to, direct ticket sales, luggage loading, guest loading, and guest meet and greets.
Ability to read and understand a dispatch sheet with driver assignments and passenger manifests
Escort guests throughout all off-board experiences, providing interpretive commentary and ensuring guest satisfaction
On board commentary as required
Facilitate the service of off-board refreshments to all guests
Consistent completion of relevant reporting and feedback
Ensuring work area remains clean, tidy, well stocked and communicating any needs
Uphold the Pursuit core values
Represent Pursuit professionally in all communications relating to clients/guests, suppliers, products, and co-workers
Abiding by and applying all procedures and policies as laid out
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills. Secondary language skills are an asset
Proven ability or willingness to adapt effectively and efficiently, whilst actively participating in fast-paced, team environments
Strong understanding of basic mathematical and literacy skills
Time management skills and ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task as required
Ability to effectively problem solve in a timely manner
Proven ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
An active interest in the Canadian Rockies
Accountability with the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and self-regulated
Experience interacting effectively with people of different backgrounds and generations
Public speaking experience an asset
Class 4 driver’s licence an asset
First aid qualifications an asset
Physical demands include constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
You will be required to spend at least one night per week in Jasper. Accommodation for the night in Jasper is provided.
