Hiring for immediate start. Hotel maintenance or trades experience mandatory.

$2.00 per hour housing allowance if you do not need staff housing

$13/night staff housing available

Department: Maintenance

Position: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Primary Function:

Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to ensure adequate upkeep of mechanical equipment, and hotel assets and perform repairs/maintenance in guest rooms and common areas of the property. Tracking and performing preventative maintenance and condition of property is a large part of this role.

Prime Responsibilities Include:

Empty trash cans and other waste containers; Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems. Perform inspections of property and other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair; Perform minor repairs on appliances; Clean overly dirty areas. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Ensure guest and employee safety. And to safely perform any duty that the Maintenance Manager requires.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Work under pressure; Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work Location Information Urban area; Remote location.

Equipment Operated/Used: Steam cleaners; Snowblower; Power tools; Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers; Polishing machines; Power lawn mowers; Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments); Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment; Upholstery cleaning equipment; Security system; Carpet cleaning machine; Waxing machine

Required: Drivers license, Chemical Training (WHMIS)
