The Role at a Glance Location: Hankki Banff (seasonal) Employment type: Seasonal, full-time — for the Banff peak season (approximately May to September) Off-season: Strong performers may be offered continued employment and relocated to one of our Calgary locations once the Banff season ends — so this can be a season-long role or the start of a longer Hankki career. Your Role as a Cashier As a Cashier and Front-of-House team member, you’re the first face our guests see and the last smile they remember. You’ll greet guests, take and process orders, handle payments, and keep the front of house clean and welcoming — delivering genuine hospitality that lives our H.A.N.K.K.i values: Help Each Other, Act With Heart, Nurture the Team, Keep the Promise, Kindness Matters, Include Everyone. What You’ll Do Customer Service & Guest Experience Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon entry. Take guest orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Answer menu questions and accommodate dietary or allergen-related requests. Handle guest feedback and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Cash Handling & Order Accuracy Process payments (cash, card, gift card, and digital) accurately and securely. Ensure correct change and proper transaction records. Verify order accuracy before finalizing for dine-in or takeout. Support kitchen coordination by confirming order details when needed. Cleanliness & Store Presentation Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, beverage station, and bathrooms. Restock utensils, napkins, cups, and other service items regularly. Follow opening and closing checklists to ensure front-of-house readiness. Team Collaboration Work closely with the kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth service flow. Communicate special requests, modifications, or concerns quickly and clearly. Assist and welcome new front staff during training. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in customer service, retail, or food service is preferred. Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and perform cleaning duties. Bilingual in English and Korean is an asset. Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to live in or relocate to the Banff area for the season, and open to relocating to a Calgary location afterward.
