In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, concrete/landscaping crews) on site, handle material staging, and ensure job sites operate safely and efficiently. This is a physical, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in quality work and is looking to build experience in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities & Duties Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment around job sites. Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with framing, forming, demolition, and general site work. Operate basic power tools, hand tools, and equipment safely (e.g., drills, grinders, compaction equipment). Clean and prepare job sites by removing debris, trash, and hazards to maintain a safe work environment. Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete, mortar, or gravel as required. Follow all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines and company safety protocols. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Previous construction, landscaping, or physical labor experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Education: No formal education required; high school diploma is an asset. Licensing: Valid Driver’s Licence (preferred). Location: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Banff, AB before starting work. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Physically demanding work, including heavy lifting (50+ lbs), bending, crouching, and standing for long periods. Working outdoors in varied mountain weather conditions. Must provide basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots Construction clothes suitable for weather conditions (Hard hat, high-vis vests, gloves, and safety glasses provided as needed).
