*A valid, Alberta, class 5 driver’s license and clean driving abstract are required for this position. We will not consider applicants who do not already have these items.

THE ROLE

Thank you for your interest in joining our team as Laundry Attendant.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Operate in-house washer and dryers,
Wash, dry and fold towels, linen, and uniforms,
Count, sort and record clean linen and tablecloths as noted on the distribution form,
Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from other properties,
Check laundered articles to ensure that established standards are met,
Demonstrate a working knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures as required in order to maintain a secure and safe environment for guests and hotels,
And other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Ideal Candidate:

REQUIRED: Alberta class 5 driver’s license and clean driving abstract,
Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time,
Work independently without supervision,
Visually check work, work area, and hotel spaces,
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs,
Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling,
Previous experience is an asset,
English language skills enough to engage guests in conversations,
Deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner,
Communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associates,
Well groomed and conform to hotel dress code.
