Welcome! Banff Park Lodge Collection operates 3 hotel properties - Banff Park Lodge, Bow View Lodge, and Peaks Hotel & Suites. We also operate 2 restaurants - La Terrazza and Crave Mountain Grill. THE ROLE

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Oversee Assigned Section – Manage daily station operations, ensuring all food meets Banff Park Lodge quality and presentation standards.
Lead & Support Team Members – Provide guidance, training, and supervision to junior cooks while fostering a professional and positive work environment. Work closely with the Chefs and kitchen team members to ensure a seamless service
Ensure Food Quality & Consistency – Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and specifications; food below standard must not be served.
Maintain Food Safety Standards – Follow Health & safety guidelines, monitor and log fridge temperatures, and ensure proper labeling, dating, storage, rotation, and safe defrosting procedures.
Plan & Organize Production – Review daily reservations and function sheets, prepare mise en place, complete requisitions, and ensure all services and tours are properly prepared.
This position reports primarily to the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine and may receive direction from the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef as required.

In the absence of the Sous Chef, the Chef de Partie assumes responsibility for the daily operation of the kitchen, including supervision of culinary and stewarding team members. This includes ensuring operational standards are maintained and addressing performance or disciplinary matters as required, in alignment with hotel policies.

Ideal Candidate/Job Requirements:

Reliable and punctual
A Red Seal Journeyman Cook's Certificate or equivalent is a must
Minimum of 5 years a la carte/ Banqueting experience in a demi Chef de Partie / 1st cook position preferably in a hotel environment
Schedule flexibility (weekends & holidays) over time as required
Prepares high quality food and follows superior sanitation standards,
Is physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time,
Is a team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
