As a Children & Youth Program Leader, you “Take Care of Banff” by delivering a diverse range of activities, and developmentally appropriate care for children in compliment to the school calendar. These programs provide meaningful learning, sport, and play opportunities for Banff’s school-aged residents, helping them grow, thrive, and connect with their community.

The Town of Banff is looking for leaders at the Out of School Club program. This is a great opportunity for individuals who:

enjoy engaging with children in structured and unstructured play
are active and creative, and enjoy sharing these attributes with others
are adaptable and flexible with your schedule
are capable of taking initiative and working with a variety of children and families
are prepared to invest in becoming “Alberta Childcare Certified” on hire
If this sounds like you, you could be an ideal fit for the role of Children & Youth Program Leader with the Town of Banff. This casual position follows opposite the school calendar to provide care when school is over for the day or closed during typical family work-hours, with shifts typically running Monday to Friday from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., including half- and full-day Fridays, as well as full-day programming during school holidays.

If you have experience working in a childcare, school, or camp environment, along with current first aid and CPR certification we would be interested in hearing from you. Post-secondary education in a related child-care field and existing Alberta Child Care certification will be considered strong assets, and consideration will be given to those who are willing to gain equivalencies. (Willingness to complete Alberta Child Care certification through educational equivalencies or an online course is mandatory within the first 6 months of hiring).
