We are seeking a proactive and strategic Admissions & Program Development Manager to join our team in Banff, Alberta. This seasonal role, running from mid-September to May (flexible), is designed for someone passionate about growing innovative programming, strengthening industry partnerships, and leading outreach efforts that inspire future students. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic outdoor educator with a strong commitment to conservation, local ecology, Indigenous relations and sustainable tourism. They are a driven outdoor professional with experience in student recruitment, marketing, and program development, combined with a deep understanding of the adventure tourism and ski industry. This dynamic role is designed for someone with a strong interest in local history, and contemporary issues in the ecotourism industry looking to play a critical part in shaping Timberline’s growth by ensuring that our programs remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with both student goals and industry demands. Key Responsibilities · Lead student recruitment initiatives, connecting with prospective students to inspire the next generation of outdoor leaders and professional guides. · Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and drive enrollment in our innovative programs. · Establish and nurture industry partnerships with organizations, resorts, and key stakeholders to enhance program offerings and graduate opportunities. · Identify and support expansion opportunities, collaborating with the leadership team and existing industry partners. · Contribute to program development, ensuring curricula remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry standards and community needs. · Deliver high-quality program administration and support, from admissions through graduation, ensuring an exceptional experience for all students. · Represent Timberline at industry events, recruitment fairs, and outreach activities, both locally and nationally. · Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel and support team needs across different aspects of the school. · Engage in programming across the school (i.e. skiing, hiking, backcountry skiing etc.) Qualifications & Attributes · Significant work experience in the adventure tourism and ski industry; track record of leadership or program management is an asset. · Passion for professional development of future guides and outdoor educators. · Deep interest in local history, contemporary issues, conservation, ecology, and Indigenous relations within the Canadian Rockies and beyond. · Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to build authentic relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners. · Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and/or student recruitment, with attention to detail and follow-through. · Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. · Relevant post-secondary education and industry certifications considered an asset. · Willingness to travel as required and contribute to team priorities wherever needed. · Based in Bow Valley.
