Job Description

Engaging service, delicious cuisine and distinctive surroundings make every special event at the Fairmont Banff Springs a truly memorable affair. Showcase your service and organization strengths as Event Set-Up Supervisor, where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help “set the stage” for a successful group functions in our Event space.

Starting Rate: $27.32 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $29.98.

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Lead, motivate, and work alongside the team to complete daily tasks and meet event deadlines.
Plan ahead with office and clerical work to ensure smooth operations.
Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms while handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety, sanitation, and service standards throughout all areas.
Provide professional, friendly service and support additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing
Recent Driver’s Abstract in good standing
Previous guest service experience
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to carry and pull over 20 lbs.
