Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment is a strategic and inspiring leader responsible for curating world-class dining, beverage, and entertainment experiences at Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection.

From fine dining to casual concepts, from wine pairings to live music and après-ski, you will be the creative force behind experiences that celebrate Banff's alpine spirit and our guests’ desire for unforgettable moments.

This role requires a bold, people-focused leader who thrives on connection, innovation, and creating spaces where both guests and team members can flourish.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence

Develop and execute a visionary strategy for food, beverage, and entertainment that aligns with Emblems Collection’s luxury brand standards.
Lead daily operations across restaurants, bars, in-room dining, banquet services, and entertainment programming.
Champion seamless service, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence across all venues.
Monitor industry trends, guest feedback, and competitor offerings to drive innovation.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Culinary, Beverage & Experience Innovation

Partner with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop seasonal, locally inspired menus.
Lead beverage programming with curated wine lists, premium spirits, and craft cocktails.
Highlight Banff's regional flavors through partnerships with local farms, breweries, and distilleries.
Entertainment & Cultural Programming

Curate and execute an engaging entertainment calendar: live music, après experiences, seasonal events.
Collaborate with artists, performers, and local partners to deliver immersive, high-end guest experiences.
Elevate Rimrock’s evening and après culture to match its luxury mountain setting.
People & Culture Leadership

Recruit, train, and develop a team of passionate Heartisans, fostering a culture of warmth, creativity, and excellence.
Inspire your team through mentorship, regular feedback, and career development support.
Lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose—ensuring every team member feels moved, valued, and seen.
Sales, Marketing & Brand Collaboration

Work with marketing and sales teams to promote F&B and entertainment experiences.
Develop packages and campaigns that drive guest engagement and elevate revenue.
Build brand partnerships and influencer collaborations to enhance visibility and cultural relevance.

Qualifications

What You Bring

8-10 years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or entertainment environments.
Proven success managing multiple outlets and large-scale programming in a resort or luxury hotel.
Deep understanding of elevated guest service and modern F&B trends.
Financial savvy with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization experience.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and people-development skills.
Adaptability, charisma, and confidence in high-paced, guest-facing environments.
Bonus if You Bring

Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Business Administration.
Sommelier certification or advanced beverage expertise.
Experience in luxury mountain resorts, après programming, or lifestyle hotel concepts.
A flair for entertainment design and guest journey storytelling.
