Full job description
Banff Social is looking for experienced Bartenders to join our team! The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant with excellent customer service skills, passion for hospitality, and a team-oriented environment. Previous experience working in fine dining and wine knowledge is considered an asset. We are looking for candidates with hospitable, warm & welcoming personalities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 200+ seat upscale dining establishment, serving and maintaining the bar with attention to detail and building regulars. We are looking for batenders who have extensive wine knowledge and excellent customer service skills, a passion for genuine hospitality, and able to work in a team-oriented high-volume environment.

About You

Minimum of 3 years of Bartending experience in a high-volume, fast-paced fine dining or casual fine dining establishment and can handle serving the Bar Counter while dispensing drinks.
Available on weekdays and weekends, day, and night shifts, as well as Holidays- (candidates with open weekly availability, especially Friday, Saturday and Sundays will be strongly considered)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
Working as a member of a team
Working with Toast is an asset
Passion and sound understanding of cuisine, wines, cocktails, and spirits is a plus!
Job description

Craft a wide range of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and care
Create a welcoming and upbeat bar environment that guests want to return to
Provide thoughtful recommendations and detailed menu knowledge to guests
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout service
Communicate effectively with the FOH and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service
Follow all health & safety guidelines and uphold our service standards
Support inventory tracking, restocking, and opening/closing duties
Contribute to the overall vibe, energy, and rhythm of the restaurant
Reporting to the Manager on duty
Following daily service checklists, including beautifications and shift cleanliness
Bringing a positive attitude and professional work ethic
Adhering to Banff Social grooming standards
Adhere to Banff Social Steps of Service and extensive food and beverage menu knowledge
Able to lift and carry 40-50lbs
