Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bike Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on customers’ bikes, as well as our fleet of bikes including e-bikes, mountain bikes, and cruisers. You will also play an important role in helping to implement our fleet maintenance program by adhering to maintenance schedules, monitoring the condition of our rental fleet, and ensuring accurate reporting and tracking of all maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on a variety of bicycles that come into the shop for repair, with a primary focus on e-bikes, e-mountain bikes, and standard bikes of all varieties.
Provide exceptional service to customers by diagnosing and repairing bikes brought in for maintenance.
Help to implement a fleet maintenance schedule to ensure all rental bikes are in excellent working condition.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and track the service history of each bike.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
Help with workshop operations, including maintaining inventory and ordering parts.
Collaborate with management to recommend fleet upgrades, and improvements to our fleet management system.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff on bike maintenance and safety.
Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of professional bike mechanic experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of bicycle systems, including brakes, gears, suspension, and e-bike components.
Experience in developing maintenance programs and tracking systems is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and maneuver bikes and equipment.
