Located on the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge grounds, our Nordic Spa experience is crafted to be as individual as our guests. Rather than an exercise in structure and conformity, our guests should feel that our spas are thoughtfully restful and physically comfortable. Your role as the Spa Pool Operator is critical to delivering on this promise. In this role, you are expected to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences. You will achieve excellence by cleaning and maintaining the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steams rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use.



Qualifications:

Spends most of each shift in operations delivering quality 1st impressions on the grounds, pool decks, and in outbuildings and public areas.
Maintains a safe and clean pool deck; by organizing and picking up furniture, towels, robes, and debris.
Completes washing schedules assigned or outlined in daily checklists.
Taking and testing water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and making adjustments to maintain the quality standards.
Checks that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout their shift.
Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders.
Reports/logs all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own.
Cleaning, clearing and maintaining all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
Assigned tasks are completed in a manner that does not usually require follow-up, both in terms of timeliness and quality.
Completing work processes and checklists seamlessly support the Spa value that we respect our guest’s inherent desire to be at peace.

Education & Experience:

Previous Spa or Hotel maintenance experience preferred
Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license
WHMIS, First Aid (Including CPR)
Able to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly
Good judgement around safety and guest experience
Comfortable with technology and open to new learning
Working Conditions:

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. This role will spend a considerable amount of time working outdoors in the fresh mountain air and weather.
