Duties
Your position is responsible for the development and delivery of a full suite of communications products. Through a coordinated effort with the external relations (strategic communications, media relations, outreach, marketing) team you contribute to and lead the Banff Field Unit in creating and delivering high-quality communications products. Working with internal and external stakeholders daily, this position will be best filled by someone with an open mind and positive attitude who is a self-starter and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Accountable to the External Relations Manager, you are responsible for developing strategies for communications, public relations, and stakeholder relations.

EDUCATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized college or university with specialization in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or other discipline relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE IN:

Providing strategic communications, media relations, or stakeholder relations advice to management and colleagues
Researching and writing a variety of communications products (such as: news releases, media lines, issue notes, backgrounders, feature articles, event plans, stakeholder updates as well as material for the web and/or social media) in a deadline driven environment
Planning and organizing special events such as public open houses, news conferences and media briefings
Working collaboratively with internal and external partners in a professional setting
